Welcome to KCLR Pride

This is a month long radio station for International Pride Month. Its aim being to educate, inform, celebrate and raise awareness for LGBTQI+ issues, to encourage inclusion and tolerance, and empower queer voices across Carlow and Kilkenny. 

KCLR Pride is funded by Comisiún na Meán with the Television Licence Fee.

  • WE'VE OFFICIALLY LAUNCHED !!!

    We're delighted to announce that KCLR Pride launched on Wednesday 29th May just after midday with a special feature on the KCLR Daily with Brian Redmond live from The Parade in Kilkenny with guests Angela Doyle Stuart and Niamh Byrne talking through what we've got planned for the month ahead.     As Ireland marks a half century of LGBT activism, Kilkenny Castle is delighted to host a talk by Tonie Walsh, founder of the Irish Queer Archives.

  • Carlow Pride Festival

    Founded in 2019, we have made history in many ways. Our first Pride Festival held in July 2019 attracted 3,500 attendees for both our marching parade and main event in Carlows beautiful town park along the River Barrow.

  • Outhouse LGBTQ+ Centre

    Dedicated to supporting the people and issues important to the LGBTQ+ communities and to improve their quality of life by providing a safe space.

  • Belong TO supporting LGBTI+ Young People in Ireland

    A unique national LGBTQ+ youth organisation aiming to provide solution-based advocacy at an institutional and public level.
